No student activity or organization shall solicit, directly or indirectly, financial aid from friends of the University. The Committee on Student Affairs shall have the power to grant exemptions from the operation of this rule. The following two exemptions have been approved:
- Fraternities and sororities may solicit funds from their own alumni for their own projects, and
- Student religious organizations may solicit funds for their own projects.
